Husband and wife real estate teams: two agents, one cap
Married agents can share one cap at AXEN Realty. You join as a partnership, and both of your closings count toward one cap: $6,000 a year on Pro or $12,000 on Elite. Your spouse gets everything a full agent gets. The only extra cost is the $50 a month platform fee. And you each get your own revenue share line.
$0 to sign up. Nothing is charged until your license is active with AXEN.
One cap for both of you
$6,000 on Pro. $12,000 on Elite.
Every closing either of you does counts toward the same cap. Then the file fee is $0 for the rest of your cap year. The $295 admin fee stays.
What your spouse costs
$50 a month. That's it.
The platform fee. Or $500 a year. No second cap, no second split.
One business. Charged like two.
At most brokerages, every licensed agent pays their own split and their own cap, even when two people run one business out of one kitchen.
Two caps to hit
Each of you has to fill your own cap before either of you keeps 100%.
Two sets of fees
Every fee you pay, your spouse pays too. You pay double for one team.
The quiet spouse pays the most
The one who closes less may never cap at all, so their split never stops.
At AXEN there is no split at all. See how AXEN pay plans work.
The whole bill for both of you
There's no split to work out, so this is all of it. Say you close 12 sales on Pro and your spouse closes 8. As two agents on two caps, you'd pay AXEN $17,100 for the year. As a couple on one cap, you pay $13,100. Same deals. $4,000 more stays with you.
The same 20 sales on Pro, two ways
| On Pro, one year | Two agents, two caps | Couple, one cap |
|---|---|---|
| File fees | $10,000$6,000 + $4,000 | $6,000one cap, then $0 |
| $295 admin fee | $5,900 | $5,900 |
| Platform fee | $1,200 | $1,200 |
| Total to AXEN | $17,100 | $13,100 |
Same deals, same admin, same platform fees. Only the file fee line moves. One cap keeps $4,000 more with you.
Both of you, priced · Pro · 12 + 8 sales at $9,000
to AXEN, on $180,000 of commission
92.7% stays with you
File fees on one shared cap, the $295 admin fee on every closing, and two platform fees. No split on any of it.
One cap saves you
$4,000
vs. each of you paying your own cap, on the same plan ($6,000 + $4,000 = $10,000 on two caps).
File fees, shared cap
$6,000
$500 a file until $6,000, then $0.
Admin, per closing
$5,900
$295 a closing, whoever closes it. Most of it pays your Deal Desk coordinator and state broker. Many agents pass it to the client.
Platform, both of you
$1,200
$50 a month each. The only cost of adding your spouse.
Under $2,500 of commission, a file costs 10% of it instead of the plan fee. Leases, rentals and referrals cost 10%, max $500 ($1,000 on Elite), plus a $50 admin fee that goes to the Deal Desk coordinator. All of it counts toward your one shared cap. On Pro, the cap takes about 12 full-price closings between the two of you. Your cap year runs from the lead partner's AXEN anniversary. Every fee is on the pay plans page. This shows fees only, not a promise of what you will earn.
A full agent. Not an assistant.
Your spouse gets the same desk, the same tools and the same support as any agent here. Nothing is held back for $50 a month.
The toolkit
Nine tools. None of them an upsell.
A Deal Desk coordinator on every file
Named, per sale, for whichever of you closes it.
A broker in your state
Licensed, named and reachable for contract questions. See AXEN brokers by state.
AXEN University
Training, coaching and live onboarding for both of you. Plus live support.
Their own login and email
Their own portal, CRM, website and AXEN email. Your leads stay yours, theirs stay theirs.
Two lines. Not one.
You share a cap, but not a seat. Each of you has your own spot in revenue share, and each of you is paid on the agents you bring in.
Your line and your spouse's line

More on how AXEN works
Questions couples ask
Can a husband and wife share one cap at AXEN Realty?
Yes. You join as a partnership, and both of your closings count toward one cap: $6,000 a year on Pro or $12,000 on Elite. Once you hit it together, your file fees are $0 for the rest of the year.
What does the second spouse pay?
$50 a month for the platform (or $500 a year). That is the only extra cost of adding your spouse. The $295 admin fee is per closing, not per person, so a closing costs the same no matter which of you closes it.
Does my spouse get the same tools and support as me?
Yes. Your spouse is a full AXEN agent: their own login, CRM, website, AXEN email, a Deal Desk coordinator on every file, a state broker, AXEN University and live support. Nothing is held back.
Do we each get our own revenue share?
Yes. You each have your own spot in revenue share. Agents you bring in can sit under either of you, and each of you is paid five levels deep on your own line: $100 a level for each closing by an agent on Pro, $200 on Elite. It is paid while that agent still pays a file fee, and stops once they cap. It is not a promise of income.
Do we both need a real estate license?
Yes. You are both licensed agents, and you both hang your license with AXEN in your state.
Which anniversary does our shared cap follow?
One of you is the lead partner, and your shared cap year runs from the lead partner's AXEN anniversary.
Do we both have to be on the same plan?
Yes. You pick one plan together — Pro or Elite — because you share one cap.
What if one of us sells a lot more than the other?
That is the point. The cap is shared, so the busier spouse fills it and the other spouse rides along for $50 a month.
Do leases, referrals and small deals count toward our cap?
Yes. A sale under $2,500 of commission costs 10% of the commission instead of the plan fee, plus the $295 admin fee. Leases, rentals and referrals cost 10%, max $500 on Pro or $1,000 on Elite, plus a $50 admin fee instead of the $295. All of it counts toward your one shared cap.
We are on Elite and paid toward a cap at our old brokerage. Do we get credit?
Yes. The Elite reverse sign-on credits what you already paid toward your old cap this year. On a shared cap it is one credit for the household — the larger of yours.
How do we sign up as a couple?
You each sign up for your own account. It takes a few minutes each. One of you ticks “I’m joining with my spouse” on the join form and adds your spouse’s name. The Join together button on this page ticks it for you. We won’t contact your spouse. Once you have both joined, our team links your two accounts into one partnership with one cap. Missed the box? Just tell us on your call.
AXEN Realty, LLC. Commissions are negotiable and are not set by any brokerage. Both spouses must hold an active real estate license and hang it with AXEN in their state. Plans described here are the published plans and can change. Revenue share is how it is built, not a promise of income.
